As I said, upgraded from 1. It worked fine. Cleared cache on Joomla and browser. I did nothing. Didn't change the template, didn't change any settings, didn't change any permissions and DID NOT move servers or migrate anywhere. As I stated originally I followed a few steps to get me where I am currently. One forum thread suggested the issue was with the path for the Log directory and the path for the Temp directory and that these needed to be changed on the configuration. Which I did. Please read second paragraph of my original post 5.
I did this on the update tab please read my prior post 7. I have unlimited space no space restrictions on my server. And no I have not switched the template as there are other people on my team that are writing articles live on the site. I cannot afford to screw things up any more than what it already is. So run a fresh Back up of your site and database. Alternatively if this will not work as I suspect is the case you can do the same manually by uploading a copy of the Full Stable 2. The FTP is definitely not activated and All the file permissions are set at , even the config php, htaccess etc are which is fairly normal from what I understand. When I attempted to load the fpa using filezilla I get an error, "failed to transfer".
