Powerpoint 2007 open two windows




















If you know the password for the local admin account then you can use it as your second account. Otherwise, you will need to create a second account with admin privileges.

After you have opened the first instance of PowerPoint as normal, you will use the second account to open the second instance this is the account that must have admin privileges. Note: If you Right click prior to holding down the shift key, the Run as After the Run As dialog box opens, select the radio button next to "The following user:" and enter the user name and password for the second account with admin privileges.

Click OK. A second instance should open and you can now work on more than one new PowerPoint presentation at a time. I have done this myself and do know that it works.

Also, if you have two different PowerPoint presentations that are saved, you should be able to open each one as a separate instance and work on them simultaneously.

However, I am under the assumption that you would like to open more than one instance so that you can work on more than one new presentation at a time.

I am afraid I only know of the -replies and for as long as I've been here, I've always got my responses both in the inbox top left as well as in the responses in the profile. KCotreau if you look at this post's revision history you can see this is simply the message that slhck entered for the edit summary when performing the edit.

It seems that the MS left hand isn't talking to the right. Well at least excel and word did because those programs open in separate windows. Not being allowed powerpoint to open in separate windows is a majorly failed oversight by the developers. Or this is just a ploy to make people spend more money to have to buy the new version.
